About Sean
Growing up in the farm country around Lapeer, I was always surrounded by fresh meat and produce. My mom kept an enormous garden that I worked in (let's be honest, played in) daily. There was always a side of beef, pork, or freshly processed chickens in the chest freezer. Times were good, and I quickly learned how to use those ingredients in the kitchen.
In college, I played soccer, started working in professional kitchens, and began taking my health more seriously. I eventually earned both culinary and business degrees. My culinary career lasted more than a decade before I transitioned into retail banking. Later, I returned to school and earned my physician assistant degree from the University of Detroit Mercy.
I love food. It's my hobby. But I also care deeply about mental health and helping patients improve their lives. My view is simple: mental health is directly connected to overall health, and vice versa. You can't truly have one without the other.
Emerging research continues to demonstrate how nutrition directly influences mental health. It's difficult to feel your best physically or mentally without the right guidance, and that's what I strive to provide for my patients. Whether you're looking to improve your nutrition, metabolic health, weight, mood, or overall well-being, I'd love the opportunity to work with you.
